Trinity Wilmette is a welcoming community of compassion and faith, offering hope for living, grace in action, and music for the soul.  As a Reconciling Congregation, our welcome and compassion extend to all who seek God, regardless of race, age, ethnicity, economic status, education, family structure, religious background, physical or mental ability, sexual orientation, or gender identity and expression.

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

 

United Methodist Beliefs

We believe in the Holy Trinity — Father, Son and Holy Spirit

• Who created the world and works to heal it through loving commitment;
• Who through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection saves us and all creation;
• Who empowers us by the Holy Spirit in God’s life and mission.

We believe every person is a beloved child of God

• Created in the divine image with inherent worth and dignity;
• Restored by grace through faith into the likeness of Christ.

We believe in the Church as the instrument of God’s presence and coming reign

• Gathering for worship, to proclaim God’s Word and share the Sacraments;
• Welcoming and nurturing all people as God’s sons and daughters;
