In January 2023, Abby Holcombe joined Trinity Wilmette as a member and became part of our ministry team as a pastoral intern. She was born and raised in a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama, where she fell in love with southern food and the outdoors. You can usually catch her on a walk, talking on the phone to one of her siblings, nieces, nephew, or parents (she comes from a big family), or exploring the Chicagoland area with her partner Kristina. Abby is currently an Elder candidate in the United Methodist Church and a second-year Master of Divinity student at Garrett Seminary. Thus far, she has discerned that her call is to be a community and bridge builder, particularly in spaces of tension. She is excited to be part of the Trinity Wilmette community.
