Dr. Julia Davids

Director of Music Ministries

Dr. Davids is committed to excellence in vocal and instrumental music, so that we all can grow in our love for God. In June 2014, she celebrates 10 years as Trinity’s director of Music Ministries.

Julia has two degrees from the University of Western Ontario (B. Mus. Hons. Ed. and B. Ed.), two Masters degrees from the University of Michigan (Voice Performance and Conducting) and her PhD. in Music from Northwestern University.

She is a performer, educator and conductor. As a soprano soloist, she has appeared with numerous vocal groups. She has given workshops on vocal pedagogy, served on the faculty at Loyola University in Chicago, and currently directs Choral Activities at North Park University in Chicago. She also has conducted several choirs, including the North Shore Choral Society, a 140-member community chorus.

Dr. Davids is co-author of the book: Vocal Technique – A Guide for Conductors, Teachers and Singers. She is married to baroque violinist Martin Davids and has two children.
