Spring Music Series

Join us for “Connecting Through Music,” a unique 3-concert series that offers new music and new performances.  Whether it’s the wonder of handbells, humming along to bluegrass music, or listening to the world premiere of men’s ensemble music, you won’t want to be left out.  All three concert performances are provided to bring Wilmette and the surrounding communities together to explore diverse and inspirational music.  Listeners of all ages, backgrounds, and life experiences are welcome. Concerts are free with donations requested for select performances. 

Chicago Bronze

Sat., May 3 at 4:00 p.m.

Join us for an exuberant handbell concert featuring Chicago Bronze on Sat., May 3 at 4:00 p.m.  Under the direction of Andrea Handley, Chicago Bronze is a regional handbell ensemble of advanced and experienced ringers. The program is a tribute to Arnold Sherman, a beloved handbell composer and arranger who passed away last year. From stunning original works to beautiful hymn arrangements to jazz to classical transcriptions, enjoy the breadth and variety of the composer’s writing and of Chicago Bronze’s expert playing. The composer’s wife and two daughters will be in attendance and the concert will be concluded with a reception in their honor.

The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass

Sun., May 18 at 4:00 p.m.

Join us as Trinity Wilmette’s Chancel Choir and friends unite with the Prairie Rangers Band to present “The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass.”  Carol Barnett’s inspiring composition merges the classical-based mass with the down-home sparkle of bluegrass.  The text speaks of God’s great love for us and for our whole world. Chorus, soloists, and an authentic bluegrass band featuring fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, bass will bring this hopeful music to life.  Don’t miss this opportunity to join us for this unique and delightful performance.

Constellation Men’s Ensemble

Join us as Constellation Men’s Ensemble celebrates the vibrant seasons of Chicago.  This ticketed dress rehearsal performance will feature world premieres inspired by the city’s ever-changing landscape—summers at the lake, city street fairs, and the pulse of Chicago’s dynamic community.

In addition, Constellation continues to raise funds for Care For Friends.  A portion of the ticket sales will provide critical resources of food, housing, and healthcare to Chicagoans in need.
