Join us for an exuberant handbell concert featuring Chicago Bronze on Sat., May 3 at 4:00 p.m. Under the direction of Andrea Handley, Chicago Bronze is a regional handbell ensemble of advanced and experienced ringers. The program is a tribute to Arnold Sherman, a beloved handbell composer and arranger who passed away last year. From stunning original works to beautiful hymn arrangements to jazz to classical transcriptions, enjoy the breadth and variety of the composer’s writing and of Chicago Bronze’s expert playing. The composer’s wife and two daughters will be in attendance and the concert will be concluded with a reception in their honor.
The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass
Join us as Trinity Wilmette’s Chancel Choir and friends unite with the Prairie Rangers Band to present “The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass.” Carol Barnett’s inspiring composition merges the classical-based mass with the down-home sparkle of bluegrass. The text speaks of God’s great love for us and for our whole world. Chorus, soloists, and an authentic bluegrass band featuring fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, bass will bring this hopeful music to life.
