Maya Behiri (soprano)
Maya Behiri was born in Israel and moved to the United States with her family at the age of five. Her passion for music began in middle school when she joined HaZamir: The International Jewish High School Choir, where she sang as a soloist in performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. She later studied voice at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Division while remaining active in her school’s choral and theater programs. Since 2020, Maya has been pursuing vocal performance at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University under Professor Sharon Rostorf-Zamir. She has appeared in major roles such as Dido (Dido and Aeneas) and Countess Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), performed with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and won the school’s 2024 Vocal Competition. Maya has also sung in masterclasses with renowned artists, including tenor Aaron Blake and Maestro Dan Ettinger. Most recently, she was a featured soloist with the Buchmann-Mehta Orchestra under Maestro Lahav Shani.

Jordan Haas (tenor)
I’m Jordan Haas and I’m so excited to join Trinity as the new Trinity Youth Choir director and tenor section leader! I recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with my Master’s in Choral Music Education and am beginning a second Master’s at Northwestern University in Voice and Opera Performance. I grew up singing in churches and have been working in church music for many years. When I’m not making music, I love hiking, reading, and photography. I can’t wait to become part of the Trinity Wilmette community and look forward to making music with both the youth and adult choirs this year!
Aiden Kocian (baritone)
Aiden Kocian (he/they) is a baritone, conductor, and composer based out of Chicago, Illinois. He is currently pursuing an M.M. in Choral Conducting from Northwestern University. Outside of music, Aiden works as a canoe guide along the north shore of Lake Superior, enjoys maple syrup coffee, and spends time reading or playing pickleball. They are excited to bring a spirit of warm collaboration through singing in Trinity’s Chancel Choir, and especially excited to call a new church and congregation home. Most recently, Aiden has been in Paris, France as a composition student at the European American Music Alliance Summer Institute Choral Fellow and gave a TEDx Talk entitled “Fearless Love in The Context of Art-Making”. Aiden believes music to be the collaborative heart that can access and unlock untold depths of love within the communities it surrounds and hopes to bring this joyous, curious love to the Trinity Wilmette community.
